Help us welcome the newest member on our team here at Partners4Housing, as we continue to expand to serve more families and their Loved Ones.

Partners4Housing continues to grow, and growth means new faces on our team. We are happy to introduce Mara Topps, joining us in the role of Solutions Coordinator. Mara will join the Solutions Coordinator team in its important work with our families as they move along their journey toward a resilient housing solution for their Loved Ones.

Mara started her career as a behavioral health specialist in 2015 and quickly advanced into leadership roles. She earned her M. Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University and a B. S. in Psychology from Mississippi State University. She is excited to be part of the Partners4Housing team and looks forward to providing guidance and solutions to our families.

The mom of two says she’s always had a passion for helping others and is happiest in a role where she can work directly with families and their Loved Ones. I asked her a little bit more about her experience, and why she chose to join our team.

Q: Why are you excited to join the team at P4H?

A: I am passionate about providing solutions and guidance to the families that we serve. The impact this work makes on our families is life-changing. Housing is a top priority in the hierarchy of needs, so I’m thrilled to be a part of the much-needed work being done here at Partners4Housing.

Q: How has your background prepared you for this role?

A: I started my journey in the IDD space as a behavioral health specialist, writing programs to support individuals with behavioral support needs. One of my proudest responsibilities was assisting families/guardians while they transitioned their Loved Ones to more independent supported living settings. Over the years I tried to move away from the field, even working in roles such as banking and operations. However, my passion remains in this work, and I continue to gravitate back to where my heart is filled with joy.

Q: What are you most looking forward to in this work?

A: Working as a team to support individuals with disabilities and their families. After all, this is the area where I feel most confident and comfortable using my skills. Helping others is a passion of mine, and I am excited to work directly with families again.

Please help us welcome Mara to our growing team. Mara is such a great fit, with her experience in the field and her passion for helping families and their Loved Ones. We are so fortunate to have her on board!
